About Us
Our Vision & Mission
Our Vision
To harness youth potential through technology and inspirational journeys, inspiring young people to bring positive social change, bridge the gap between thinkers and doers, and create a happier, more empowered society.
Our Mission
Our mission is to empower youth to lead social change by providing a connected platform that bridges volunteers, organizations, and communities in need. Through transformative journeys like Prerna Yatra, we inspire young leaders to connect with real-life role models and constructively channel their talents to uplift underprivileged communities and spread happiness.
Our Story
Rooted in the spiritual and natural charm of Bharuch along the Narmada River, Nitin Tailor walked away from a comfortable IT career in Bangalore to serve his motherland. Armed with degrees from IIIT Bangalore and Sweden, alongside Stanford certification in Technology Entrepreneurship, he returned to Gujarat to leverage technology for rural healthcare and education.
This passion birthed Serve Happiness Foundation, a platform dedicated to uplifting rural communities and bridging the gap between social thinkers and doers.
Key Milestones:
Prerna Yatras: Launched experiential journeys—starting with the Narmada Prerna Yatra (later expanding to Sabarmati and Tapi)—to connect youth with local changemakers and foster rural entrepreneurship.
National Recognition: The Narmada Prerna Yatra report was officially launched by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam in 2015, who praised its focus on rural development through enterprise.
Global Impact: Awarded IIIT Bangalore’s Entrepreneur of the Year (2014), Nitin was invited to the UN Headquarters in New York as a founding member of the World Happiness Consortium.
Today, Serve Happiness continues to build a national movement—inspiring youth to drive sustainable change in education, healthcare, eco-tourism, and agriculture across India.

Trusted Voices, Powerful Support
I would like to applaud the initiatives started by my friend Nitin Tailor through Serve Happiness Foundation specially the Narmada Prerna Yatra with which I have been associated with for more than 15 years. The Foundation is helping connect the dots and give exposure to meet inspiring personalities working on various social issues like human rights issues, Women empowerment, environmental issues, heritage, art and culture, etc. I wish Nitin all the best in his endeavors and would love to be associated with his Serve Happiness Foundation in the long run.
Really appreciate the work Serve Happiness is doing. You can genuinely see the effort and involvement of the team in the communities they work with. I liked how their initiatives like Narmada Sabarmati, Jaipur Prerna Yatra bring people together and give young people a chance to be part of something meaningful. Their work feels practical and focused on creating a positive change on the ground. It’s encouraging to see an organization putting so much time and energy into social and environmental causes. Wishing the whole team more success in the work ahead.

Having known Nitin Tailor since his MTech days at IIIT Bangalore, I always saw his drive to walk an independent path dedicated to meaningful social change. Today, the Serve Happiness Foundation that he founded, stands as a true reflection of that vision through transformative grassroots initiatives like the Narmada and Sabarmati, Tapi and Jaipur Prerna Yatras. It is remarkable to see how the foundation continues to motivate young changemakers and foster community development.
